Elderflower Cheddar - Quicke's - Coming Christmas 2026

Quicke's Elderflower Cheddar is a rich, buttery, clothbound artisan cheese blended with real hand-picked elderflowers. Quicke's produces its clothbound cheddars in an individual 150g cut.

The cheesemakers themselves describe the flavouring as a ‘flicker of real elderflower’ running through the cheese, which is a great description. The Cheddar itself, being young, is buttery rather than fierce, but with the complexity that comes from good milk, starters and being swaddled in cloth. The elderflower, which can be a tad on the cloying side if you’re not careful, is more of a sweet herbal suggestion. An interesting cheese to cook with, as well as scoff.

Flavor: Creamy and buttery with a delicate floral aroma and a flicker of sweet elderflower.

Milk: Pasteurized English cow's milk from grass-fed cows.

Aging: Matured for about 3 to 6 months in muslin cloth.

Rennet: Vegetarian rennet
